In order to support Belarusians, help to civil society, independent media and social activists should be provided, programs for repressed students and academics extended, visa issuance for the Belarusian citizens simplified and political prisoners and their families patronaged, – Leader of Democratic Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya wrote on Twitter.

Exiled Tikhanovskaya now lives in Lithuania. Sergei Tikhanovsky, her husband and a blogger, was put on trial to in June, and will be sentenced 15 years in jail if found guilty. 42 years old Tikhanovsky, was accused of alleged preparations for riots and disruption of public order. Lukashenko’s regime arrested the blogger in May 2020 after stating he would run for presidency.
